Individual Therapy
When faced with circumstances that go beyond our current experience or ability, there is only one solution - to seek out an expert to teach you new options, to provide you with new tools and skills and to see you through the development of the new behaviours that will support you in moving forward and evolving. My role as a therapist is to provide you with suport, skill-building and tools to help you learn to help yourself. Self-awareness is key to understanding how we actually behave and interact with our world.

Our greatest challenge is often to live an enriched, meaningful and purposeful life. However, we are often obstructed from such a life because of trauma from our past, fears about our future or our current situation. In therapy, we have the opportunity to examine these underlying wounds and habits to create the positive transformation we so badly desire in our lives. My approach is straight-forward and goal-oriented, multi-faceted and collaborative. Some of the issues we deal with in individual therapy include but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress management, family dynamics, spectrum disorders, grief, marital preparation, divorce, trauma, spiritual guidance and self-esteem struggles. I work to provide a safe and positive space for you to grow, develop and heal. Whether you want to discuss concerns or problems that cannot be addressed with the people who are present in your life, or that need to be addressed with the guidance and support of an experienced therapist, I approach my clients with empathy, respect, and without judgement. Couples Therapy
Given that the quality of our relationships greatly determines our quality of life, I am passionate about helping couples to communicate and connect. Couples therapy is a positive step towards strengthening bonds, improving communication and trust, and allowing people to share and explore their thoughts, needs and wants with each other in a safe space. Whether you are looking to address ongoing negative patterns with your partner, or you and your partner are facing a new challenge in your relationship, I am here to support you through the growth and healing process as a couple. Relationships often improve drastically when couples gain insight into their interactions and cultivate the skills needed to better navigate their challenges. You will have an opportunity to express your concerns, as well as, learn relational communication and conflict resolution skills. You will learn how to overcome problematic relationship patterns to address past trauma and to work towards achieving a happier, and more fulfilling relationship.
Family Therapy
With a background in Family Systems Theory, my approach is holistic and multi-faceted, looking at each individual as part of a whole, and each whole family as a sum of its individual parts. Family therapy involves the participation of various family members. You will develop a deeper understanding of each other, learn how to properly address individual challenges that impact the entire family, learn more effective ways to problem solve and communicate with each other, and achieve an overall improvement in family and parent-child dynamics.
In family therapy, each family member works together with the others to better understand their group dynamic and how their individual actions affect each other and the family unit as a whole. You will learn conflict management, effective problem solving skills, healthy boundaries and achieve an overall improvement and strengthening in family and parent-child dynamics.
Maternal Mental Health
Few things in life can prepare you for the love, pain, excitement, and terror that comes with having a baby and becoming a parent. Pregnancy and birth experiences can be wonderful, shocking, beautiful, and traumatic. Add hormonal changes, as well as sleep deprivation, and you may be finding this new stage of your life very challenging. Other issues such as postpartum mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and relationship discord, can further create stress for new parents.
I provide a safe space for you to work through and gain support in your feelings of love, fear, guilt, sadness and vulnerability during this amazing but very fragile time in the life of new parents. Feel free to bring your baby and breastfeed in the comfort of my office. I also help women work through pregnancy loss or infertility complications.
